11+(secondary) Years

Hello Everyone

Hope you are all well and keeping safe. We are really missing seeing guys on Fridays and Sundays. We cannot wait until we can all meet up again! Sorry, it has taken so long for us to start putting together some activities for us.

Below are some activities and resources we use with the young people.

Just to let you know...

More episodes have been added to Limitless TV, this is a series that Tim Alford is leading looking at 4 limitations in our lives that could be stopping us from experiencing the purposes that God has for us with questions and points to reflect on at the end. Why not have a look and discuss what you think?

Also, Lauren’s playlist (www.youtube.com/watch?v=gklJ2XZwDHc&list=PLiQKZ-GzgRBcZEzELMUzLihQ10SLtr9s0) has been updated – let us know if you think of anymore we can add to the playlist.

Good Friday

Today is Good Friday  - the day we remember when Jesus was crucified for our sins on the cross – a day you would think would make us sad but it's not because we remember he bore our sin so that we don’t have to, he conquered death and so that we can be forgiven when we ask for his forgiveness and ask him to come into our lives for all eternity. We become children of God forever.

Relighting candle - No matter how hard you try, this is a flame that cannot be extinguished. The religious rulers of the day tried to stop Jesus but not even death could overcome Him! That same power is available for us today, when we choose to make Jesus our Lord, our leader. This means that just like the flame that cannot be blown out; we cannot be defeated! The life we have in Jesus is absolutely solid!

Below are a couple of links to videos to sum up what happened on the Thursday in the Garden of Gethsemane and Good Friday the day of the crucifixion.

The skit one is a drama with a couple of guys playing different roles. Aimed at our year 7 and 8’s  - Good Friday skit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w39N3vHn1mQ

The hour of darkness is a little deeper and is someone painting what happened so it is more graphic more for the year 9’s and above - youtube.com/watch?v=uImCPNNwxxQ&list=PLz_H2D6uU-1uLHo9bL-QjnoT032xJVsdA&index=26 The hour of darkness
